KLCEC Courses & Mission Statement


Mission Statement: 

"To provide a fulfilling Korean language course to students who are interested in Korean language, culture, dramas or movies, K- pop songs or traveling in Korea and also for those who are interested to further their studies or preparing for the TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean Language) or ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank) Korean.  KLCEC & KLCIP are committed to providing an interactive, fun and engaging atmosphere in every lesson to maximize their successful learning experience. 

KLCEC: Korean Language and Cultural Education Center since Oct. 2010.
KLCIP: Korean Language and Cultural Immersion Program for Highschool students who are from year 6 ~12.

The KLCEC adults' courses consist of one session per week, 2+ hours per session (Total 16+~18+ hours per module.) but Korean for TEENs (KTN) runs differently from the adults' program. Prior to enrolling, prospective students can have a free assessment test to establish their level. This can be arranged by contacting Ebony Bae at ebonybaehk@gmail.com

Curriculums follow
ACARA

(Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority)
KLCEC adopts the curriculum from Sogang University, which follows the National Curriculum Board (NIIED) in Korea, KLCEC leaners may be able to sit for the National Proficiency Test (TOPIK) upon completion of the basic course of M4 or 2A Sogang course.
KLCIP adopts the curriculum from ACARA (The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority).  These courses are designed to deliver a conversational and interactive class environment and covers speaking, listening, reading and writing in all modules.  

Korean Language & Cultural Education Centre name is registered under the Business Name Act. 1962 Section 7(4) & 5 in W.A. (BN11715121)  ABN: 47 419 497 335
All teachers are cleared to work with children according to the requirement by WWC (Working with Children).
